Napa Snapshots - Napshots

Napa Valley was a cloudy/rainy weekend, rare for the valley, and probably the last rain til October.
(I'm only happy when it rains.)

Springtime the grapes are just baby grapes:

Tour at Cakebread Cellars. Highly recommend, call ahead for tour appointment.

They put roses on the perimeter of the vineyards because the rose bushes are sensitive to white mildew, and they can detect it before it spreads to the vines. Oh, and it looks and smells great too!

Alexander Valley

Sonoma Valley

I am now the grape from tasting all that wine.

Lunch in Sonoma Valley.

Best vineyard: Chateau St. Jean, Sonoma, plan to picnic there for several hours get a bottle, drink it...

Russian River Valley
